Reader 6.0.2 to 7.?

I have Reader 6.0.2 on IE 6, Win XP (MCE 2006).

And I am pretty sure I want to manually remove 6.0.2, then install the latest Reader 7.? from a standalone download file.

Are these still possible? (I understand Reader 8.x is for IE 7).

I have the Manual Remove for Reader 6.x document 327675.

How to find and obtain the download install for 7.x? (what version?)

I use PDF's out of the browser (almost exclusively) and then not to often. I just want to get more current.

If any other (better) suggestion, like letting the updates go through Reader 6.0.2 that I have (I don't think that's the best?)

Is there a Reader Lite? (open, view, maybe print, that's it?)

Thanks,
Michael
