how do you uninstall adobe reader 7.0.8 from windows xp

I have xp and adobe 7.0.8. Adobe has been acting up causing freezes, get error messages and it just is not functioning right.

I have tried to uninstall using add/remove....no luck.

I have tried deletely all adobe files.....no luck...it won't let me delete them all.

I have tried installing over it with upgrades, downgrades and patches.....no luck.

In order to get Explorer to function properly I had to disable adobe as an add on. Now I have no way of viewing or printing documents.

How do I get this mess staightened up?
