Hello Adding to Mike's Post the following gives link to Microsoft and Adobe info. Let us know if it helps I had same problem and resolved by installing "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" from: <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301> .With it I removed all entries of Adobe Reader and then I was able to uninstall Adobe Reader and all updates via: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. After that I installed Adobe 8 with no problem. Adobe Support has info and a more involved method at: <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/327675.html> I am a 70 year old computer novice and think that sometime I don't understand all I know!
