Unable to Attach Email in Adobe Reader 8.0

I am unable to attach a PDF to an email in Adobe Reader 8.0. I open the document, go to File > Attach to Email... and I get errors:

 <http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a144/huizilopochtli/detailederrorreport.jpg>
 <http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a144/huizilopochtli/error.jpg>

The first screenshot is taken after the dialog pops up saying "Adobe Reader has encountered an error blah blah blah, send error report?" No matter whether I send the report or not, the second error screen comes up.

I've googled, adobe'd, and microsoft'd the errors and have found nothing (at least in English).

This is happening on 61 different machines in my domain. We use XP Pro (have tried both no updates at all and all current Windows updates), Office 2003 (again with the updates), and MDaemon email.
