When Reader opens a pdf file, it locks it so that it cannot be modified while it is opened. When creating pdf documents --with tools like pdfLaTeX--, the often needs to be updated, but it is locked by Adobe Reader. Locking the file is not necessary since several document previewers (even for pdf) allow the user to change the file. The actually watch the file for changes and update when file changes. Is there a way to configure Reader not to lock the pdf file? If not, is there a way to make a feature request? Regards Miguel.
