Updating to Acrobat Reader 8

I just updated to Acrobat Reader 8 and now cannot bring my documents right. Every picture or poster comes out cut in half or it is slide half way blurring and affecting it. What can I do? Is there any patch or something? I need a solution. I have lots of important presentations that are being affected.
