Just six days ago I was able to search the text on a PDF doc. Starting today or maybe yesterday, I couldn't search a document with texts. And I couldn't search the same PDF document online which was where I downloaded it from. What is going on??? The Adobe Reader program is only seeing the doc as a picture. But I can search other documents that have highlightable text. HELP! I want to fix this search engine problem! Thanks, much appreciated!

Are you sure you looking at the same doc now as you did before?

Check if there are any fonts within the PDF go to file>document properties>fonts.

If there aren't any fonts, you won't be able to search because the PDF is as you say a picture of text and not actual text.

I'm absolutely positive that I could search text on the PDF before. In fact, I did a lot of searching. Now I cannot do any searches. And yes, I checked the fonts thing and there is none. I'm completely boggled about this. And I used google to find the pdf and could search the PDF while opening it under google. Now, I can't.

Any other suggestions?

Hard to say what happened but the best guess is, you have a different PDF than before. See if to can select any text. If not, it's a scan.
