Can not install adobe reader 7

I have downloaded and tried to install adobe read 7 a number of times and everytime i go to install it i get a message saying "this program does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an aassociation in the Folder Options control panel". I have tried re-downloading it, restarting, and now not too sure what to do. Does anyone have any idea why i can't install this and how i can fix this. Thanks

Adobe reader 6 can show pages but Adobe reader 7.0.8 show blank pages

Do you see "Adobe Download Manager" or "Adobe Download Manager (remove only)" in your Add/Remove Programs control panel? Aandi Inston

I do not have Adobe installed at all, so it is not appearing on my Add/Remove Programs at the moment. The furthest i have got is downloading Adobe 7 from the Adobe website and then once it has downloaded i click on the setup file and that error message appears?

Sorry for the miss-understanding, I checked and "Adobe Download Manager" does not apear in the Add/Remove Programs section at all.

Me too. Same problem. Adobe Download Manager is not in add/remove programs.

Thanks for your help guys. I followed 'graffiti' advice from another post and used the direct link below and everything worked fine. ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/7x/7.0.8/enu/AdbeRdr708_en_US.exe Cheers
