I recently had Acrobat 7.0 added to my system, and have been experimenting with using the document review process with internal staff. A small but annoying problem has occurred when staff use Reader to add comments to the documents before sending them back to me. Some staff are on a government network that identifies each one as "Administrator" when they log on to their systems. Acrobat Reader is using that log-in to name notes and comments that are sent back to me. So I end up with a compiled document of notes, all from Administrator, and I can't tell who is saying what. I've followed directions given for overriding "use log-in as name" for Acrobat in Acrobat Reader for these folks, and while it will keep such things as the selected Note color, it always reverts back to "Administrator" when one document is closed and another one is opened. Is there a help for this? (I don't think I can get a government system to change its log-in default name.)

Try this Larry. Have the user make their first note. Then right click and go to Properties and on the General tab have them change the Author. Now, and this is important, have them close the note. Click on the Hand Tool and then right-click on the closed note icon and choose Make Current Properties Default. This should now become the default name in subsequent notes. Good Luck!
