One question ***WHY???***

I mean seriously, its a bloody pain in the rear under XP to have to reboot three times to patch from 7.0.6 to 7.0.8... Almost nothing does this anymore, well except "some" Windows updates. I am not sure what component of Adobe Reader is causing this, but being smack in the middle of something and having the updater inform me that I have to reboot, not once, but three seperate times, for minor incremental version updates is just insane imho. One reboot I wouldn't mind, but three is just a tad excessive, especially on a machine that I need, so far, on average, to reboot **only** when some application like this requests it. Its not like I use Acrobat Reader so often myself that I can't stand "not" being a few versions behind if updating means I have to put up with this each time.

Now, the way I figure it, either your re-registering the dlls, which still shouldn't "require" a reboot in most cases, or your just too lazy to have it check for a current install, assuming its new each time, then insisting on a reboot. This may explain why the damn thing also insists of giving me a new desktop icon each time, even when I "don't" want one cluttering up the screen, so have to move it someplace else every damn time.

All and all, as necessary as it is to be able to read PDFs occationally, the installation process is a pain in the ass imho, in a world where 90% of the stuff I use doesn't insist I stop what ever I might be doing, which could potentially be a 3-4 day, non-interruptable, raytraced 3D scene, just so I can update something I use maybe once a month.
