Prob printing PDF file long page

I can't print a PDF file (Adobe Reader 5). The problem seems to be it is a single page 11 inches wide by 146 inches long. My HP laserjet prints a single sheet with only a portion of page. My Canon ejects a blank sheet of paper. I can print it if I scale it down to a single page size image but then of course it's unreadable.

Help?
Thanks
Grant

Grant,

There is not much you can do about the problem Other than getting a wide-format
printer and a really long piece of paper....

If you had the full Acrobat product, you could take a copy of the pdf file and
crop it to fit one page and print it. Then crop the needed area for the second
page and so on. But with Reader you are out of luck.

Unless you have a program like Photoshop which could rasterize the file and let
you crop as well, but the quality of the printout would suffer.

If you had Reader 6 or 7 you coould use the snapshot tool and print selected areas.

Thanks Mark & Mike. I do have a E sized HP Designjet with 100 foot rolls but it won't print the PDF file. I'll try the newer version of Acrobat Reader and try breaking it into smaller files in Photoshop.

Thanks for your prompt suggestions.
