We have an individual at the off that is getting a drawing error has occured when he tries to read certain documents with adobe reader. He is using Leadtools E-print to create the document, and when it is opened with reader this error pops up. It then allows him to see parts of the first page, but if he scrolls down the first page disappears. He has the latest update, as well. Any known fixes for this?

We are also having this same error message in our office. The user has Adobe Reader 7.0.8 on his computer and cannot open certain pdf files which have handwriting in the pdf file. However, when forwarding the pdf file to his secretary, she is able to open it using Adobe Approval 5.0. I am using Adobe Professional 7 and also receive the "drawing error has occurred" when trying to open the pdf file. I, too, would be interested in any fixes for this problem.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with a pdf document created using latex (tex->dvi->ps->pdf). When i include an EPS drawing into the document i suddenly can't read the page where this drawing should be displayed. Instead i get a "A drawing error has occurred" message.

I am using Adobe Reader 7.0.8.. The document opens without problems using Adobe Reader 7.0.1...

Any advice?

Thanks,
      Ales

Ales,

Is the pdf being created in Ghostscript or Distiller. If Distiller, then the
Acrobat forum is the best place for help. If the pdf is being created using
Ghostscript then the Ghostscript forum is the best place for help. You can see
which program created the pdf by checking the document properties.
