I am using window XP home and just recently upgraded to Adobe Reader 7.08 from version 5.0, which I uninstalled.
When I open a page into the reader I get an error "There was an error while loading the plug-in 'Accessbility.api' Two
plugins are attempting to register with the same name." I click ok then these come up one at a time.

Acro form.api

Sounds like you installed Reader 7 in to the Reader 5 folder instead of the default location.

When it did that the first time, I uninstalled both versions then reinstaled 7.0.8, didn't make any difference. But after all the error messages, it goes to the program.

So, did you search for any of the files and find two of each? If so, I would try to figure where they are are get rid of half of them.

I found them at C:\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\Plugins\Optional\
There were no duplicate files there.

There will be no duplicate file names in one folder, but certain kinds
of error, including installing two releases of Reader to the same
folder, can cause this because the names are internally the same. To
get rid of the problem do this.

1. Make a note of where Reader is installed.
2. Uninstall Reader (Add/Remove Programs).
3. Remove the folder you noted in step 1.
4. Reinstall Reader.

On no account skip step 3, or guess at the folder, or you will make no
difference at at all.
