When I create an Adobe slideshow using 7.0, it opens fine and runs through the slides great when I open it up on the pc it was created with. If anyone else opens it (even with 7.0 reader), it does not automatically advance. You have to "scroll" to the next page through the entire presentation which is confusing for those who aren't computer savey. They think clicking will makes it advance to the next slide similar to powerpoint. Has anyone had these problems or know of a fix? Thanks kindly!

Did you test it with Adobe Reader? Or only with Adobe Acrobat?

I tested it on my PC with Adobe Acrobat and it works fine. But opening with Adobe Reader it doesn't work. Does the reader not let the slideshow funcionality work?

Check the settings in 'Full Screen' of the Adobe Reader Preferences.

The full screen settings in reader are fine. My machine with full version of Adobe 7.0 is the only one that will run the slidshow automatically upon opening. Everyone else that opens the slideshow from the internet has to scroll to view the pictures. It's just a nuisance because it confuses people. Just thought there may be a quick fix or someone else that's run into this trouble.

Where are you putting settings to make it a "slideshow"? Do you mean you are setting options in Acrobat Preferences? Aandi Inston

In File / Document Properties, I check the box to "open in full screen mode", and I save it. The next time I open the document, it automatically opens in full screen mode and each slide automatically advances on it's own. It works when opened from my pc, but does not work when someone else opens the PDF. For them, it opens full screen, but doesn't advance the slides on it's own. They have to scroll through them one by one. That's why I'm wondering if Adobe reader stuggles with the slideshow function?

Did they view the document in a web browser or in Adobe Reader?

Do OTHER PDF files that you open in full screen start to advance automatically? I may be wrong, but I think that what you have done is gone into Preferences > Full Screen and set the option "Advance every ... seconds". This is a preference which belongs to your copy of Acrobat, it does not change documents in any way. Aandi Inston
