I have a case where I need to install and run 2 versions of Adobe Reader. Version 5 and Version 6 both have to be installed. However, in my case, I have to install ver 6 first and then ver 5 to get some third party software to work. My issue is when I use the web browser, all PDF's open in ver 5 but I need them to open in ver 6. I have found no setting within the readers that will allow me to change this and changing file associations doesn't work either. Is there a registry entry that I can use to accomplish my goal or some other way to get this done? Upgrading to the latest reader is NOT an option. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You've found one of the very many reasons why it isn't recommended nor supported by Adobe to do what you've done.

Anyone else got any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

Check HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT for Reader related file associations.
