Every way I have tried to open a .pdf file stored on my computer, or just open the Acrobat 5.0 program itself, Reader 7.0.8 opens. Even when I use the "open with Acrobat 5.0", all I get is Reader 7.0.8 opening. When I navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat.exe, (It's properties list it as Acrobat 5.0), the program doesn't open!!! Reader 7.0.8 opens!!! How can I stop this?

By removing Reader 7. The problems you are having are the reason Adobe doesn't recommend having more than one Acrobat product on a Windows OS computer system. Mike

If Reader opens when starting up the Acrobat 5 exe, then Reader is still running, perhaps because you viewed a PDF in the browser. Check Task Manager for AcroRd32.exe the next time you launch Acrobat 5 and see if it's in the process list.
