I can open a new document or edit saved documents to Adobe Reader 8.0, and have downloaded updated versions. Having trouble accessing the updates also.
But my main question is how do I get past the security and edit or compose a document? I appreciate the help! Thank you Kathy G

I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at but basically, Reader can't edit or save anything with the exception of "some" specially enabled forms.

Maybe you can clarify what it is that you are trying to do.
