I have Windows XP. I am wishing to upgrade my Adobe Reader. There is a question the system asks and I need to know if I want Windows XP SP3 or SP2. How do I know which one to select please? David

Go to the Control Panels. Open the System control panel. It should be listed on the general tab. Mike

Thanks Just had a look. I don't have a 'System' title in the Control Panel window. There are others but not 'System'.

I have XP Pro, perhaps you have XP Home and that might be different. Are you on an administrative account? Mike

You are not in classical view. The modern view hides the individual control panels. Switch to classical view, you should see the system control panel there. Mike

In my copy of Windows, there on the type left of the control panel area is something that should allow you to switch views. Alternately, you could look through the different categories available until you found the system control panel. Mike

I have XP Media Center Edition SP3. To find the version one would go to control panel but rather than select an icon, go to the top of the screen and click on "Help" from the toolbar then "About Windows" the version, build, and service pack edition if any will be shown.
