I switched to DSL from Cable back in the summer. Ever since the switch, I open up a PDF and it will open part of the way and just stop. It doesn't give error messages or anything, it just stops loading. The computer itself isn't locked up. I went on my wifes computer, and the same thing happens. It only happens when I try to view the pdf online. If I save it to my HD its fine. I'd like to keep the DSL. its half the price of the cable, but its aggravating me too death. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ray

What version of Adobe Reader do you have? Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? It is possible that it tries to check for updates, but cannot locate your current Internet connection.

I'm not sure. It started THE day I switched to DSL. I was using Reader 8 at the time. I've since switched to Reader 9 with the same problems. It never loads all the way, and never stops loading at the same place twice. It might load the document half way this time, and the next it might go 3/4 of the way, the next time 1/3 of the way, etc,. Its the most aggrevating thing. Thanks for your help Pat, Ray
