9.1 won't install and no icon for PDF files

Installing 9.1 stops at the last second
claiming that some other process has a
lock on something that 9.1 needs.  Tried
uninstalling and reinstalling - same!

Also, i have PDF files that the browser
(SeaMonkey) can open, but there is no
icon for the PDF file.
