Reader v9 compatible with v7??

My boss has v7 but has received (via email) a pdf in v9 and is unable to open it. She's emailed me the pdf (which I cna open ok as I have v9) and asked for it to be saved as v7 or an alternative so she can read it.

Can this done?

Not with Reader. Depending upon the content of the pdf it may be 
possible to resave the file in the commercial Acrobat product to be 
compatible with version 7.
