Why does Adobe Reader 9 Setup requires Internet Access?

I just downloaded Abobe Reader 9 from site, launched it, and my firewall asks me several times, whether i wish to allow x application to allow access to internet? The Setup is the latest update from adobe, now why does it requires internet access?
