This situation crops up because of imports from Word.

I feel your pain. If I could export from Word w/o styles I would be extatic. Right now I make sure each different style in word has a unique point size, then I then save as Word 4.0, re-open in Word 98, select all & apply Arial.

Once I get this un-cluttered file into InDy, I can find/replace to apply styles: find 12 pt & replace w/ para style "standard", 10 pt =" indent", 14 pt = "bold", etc.

Ugly proceedure, but it seems to clean up a lot of the "spaghetti styling".

If anyone knows of a cleaner way to do this I'd love to hear from them.

Jay
