Hi. I'm working on publishing a 2,000-page long medical reference book. In the text, all microbe names and species are italicized. And they all need to be in the index. To add an index entry in InDesign, it's as simple as highlighting a word and hitting Option + Apple + U. But going through two THOUSAND pages and do that by hand is a heck of a job! Is there anyway to write a script that'd do this automatically? I also own a copy of InDesign for PC's... anyway to use Visual basic or C++ on InDesign??? Or maybe some other script language... Any comments and suggestions are highly appreicated!! Please help!! Steven alpha@stevenxchen.com
