G'day couponboy

I would greatly like to know the outcome of your investigation. I need
to (re) build our workflow using ID (from our Quark based AS workflow).

The outcome has been mixed. We can still use a certain script (using syntax
copied from Shirley Hopkins' ID scripting book) which will generate an
error of sorts. To clarify, if you manually export a PDF, those settings
will stick for any scripted export after this - regardless of the PDF
settings chosen in the script. IOW, manually export a screen res PDF and
all scripted PDFs after this will be screen res even if the script asks
      for high res.

Now the weird thing is that the Apple Event log says ID is doing everything properly. I still believe there's a bug in there but at least I have some good news:)

Using a simplified version posted here by Richard Ronnback on Oct 2 (thanks Richard) seems to fix the problem:

tell application "InDesign 2.0.1"
set MyPDF to "Macintosh HD:Users:richardr:Desktop:Nytt.pd"
set myDocument to active document
tell myDocument
export format PDF type to MyPDF using "[eBook]" without showing options
end tell
end tell

If anyone has any tips, I need to be able to export each page of a long
      doc as individual pdf's.
Our workflow is all single pages so I can't help with this but I'd be
fairly sure it could be done.

Mind you, if someone can offer a way of breaking a multi page PDF into individual pages I'd love to hear from them.

cheers

kim
