Ole:

This sounds great, but I can't get it to work at all. Nothing I do
makes InDesign 2.0.1 (Mac OS X) export any bookmarks in PDF files. I
have marked three styles as belonging in the TOC, I have lots of
paragraphs using those styles, and the TOC generates -- but the
exported PDF contains zero (0) bookmarks. I definitely have "Include
bookmarks" checked in the PDF style.

I've read through Adobe Online, the manual, "Classroom in a Book," and
everything else I can get my hands on multiple times. All the
documentation says is that "bookmarks will be exported," and there's
an implication that these "bookmarks" are TOC entries. (Try searching
the help for "bookmark" -- it's most unhelpful.) But making TOC
entries and marking them for export does not create bookmarks in a PDF
file from "Export..." using PDF.

I haven't tried printing to a PS file and running Distiller, but I
don't really think I should have to do that, should I?

Any light you can shed is appreciated.
