Here is a quick sample: 

tell application "InDesign 2.0.1"
     tell document 1
          set myFrame to make text frame with properties {geometric bounds:{0, 0, "5in", "5in"}, contents:"http://www.apple.com"}
          set myText to object reference of text 1 of myFrame
          set myHyperlinkDestination to make hyperlink URL destination with properties {name:"www.apple.com", destination URL:"http://www.apple.com"}
          set myHyperLinkSource to make hyperlink text source with properties {name:"www.apple.com", source text:myText}
          make hyperlink with properties {name:"www.apple.com", source:myHyperLinkSource, destination:myHyperlinkDestination}
