Dave, Here's what I tried: tell application "InDesign 2.0.1" tell document preferences set subscript position to "0" end tell end tell I also tried: tell application "InDesign 2.0.1" tell document preferences tell text preferences set subscript position to "0" end tell end tell end tell Neither results in anything more than an error message telling me it can't find what I'm trying to change. I know I'm missing something in the phrasing but I've no idea what. What do you suggest?
