Horizontal scaling in InDesign multi-line composer

InDesign's Paragraph / Justification options have the Glyph Scaling feature.
If I set the paragraph alignment method to Justified and activate the glyph
scaling feature by setting it to, for example [ Min = 60%, Desired = 100%,
Max = 140% ], the glyphs get scaled in various ways. Is there a way to use
scripting to find out the actual scaling factor of a given character (or
line)?

Unfortunately, the Character palette / "Horizontal Scale" property shows
100% all the time. I'd consider it a bug. It should rather show the actual
scale in parantheses.
