Folks, We are using Olav Kvern's script for adding words to the InDesign dictionary posted here a year or so ago, adapting it to work with 2.0.1 on Windows 2000. In the original posting, he mentions that adding words will slow things down. After adding 1,680 words, the time to create or open an InD document went from about 3 seconds to 60 seconds. In InCopy, however, the increase was just a few seconds. I would like to add many more than 1,680 words, but 60 seconds to open an empty document is unacceptable. Does anybody have experience with this? (I made sure I was not duplicating words already in the master dictionary, in case that was the root of the problem.) Thanks, Michelle
