Mike-- Use the Move method of the text object? It won't move text from document to document, but it will move it from story to story or from a location in a story to another location in a story. When you use move, the formatting remains intact. Move is pretty simple--the form is: Text.Move idLocationOptions enum, text object reference In some cases, moving a paragraph leaves the carriage return character behind--when this happens, the paragraph style sometimes gets lost--so either move the return, or reapply the style after the move. Thanks, Ole
