I've been running quite a few perfomance tests on my new InDesign scripts and it raises a big question in my mind. Why do applescripts scripts run so fast from the ID script palette (as opposed to from Script Editor or from other utilities)? Is it something to do with the way they're loaded or executed? I appreciate that the answer might be technically well over my head but I'm really interested to know why this is.
