I have read through the wishlist topic, and scrolled the list of scripts already available, but I didn't see what I was looking for. Basically, I would like to see a script (lets call it "Paste Text") to open a copy of notepad, paste the current text from the clipboard, then select all, and copy from notepad, and then use the indesign paste command to drop it (unformatted) in to the insertion point or existing frame. I get stuff from all sorts of places, and I find it easier to copy and paste text, rather than convert and save a bunch of temp text or word files or just copy in e-mails... I sorely miss the PageMaker "Paste Special" feature... I it seesm that others do as well... obviously Indesign can access all the available clipboard formats... but it just doesn't let you do so... I would set my default paste format to plain text if I could, even if it was a registry setting... If anyone comes up with this script let me know and I will send you a tenner by mail... I can see a lot of mouse clicks being saved this way... Regards, David
