Ole mentioned before in another thread that Illustrator places EPS on the clipboard and that's what makes cut-and-paste work between Illustrator and ID. Does anyone know if it's possible to get Illustrator to place WMF or BMP on the clipboard? Here's why I ask: I've embarked on a database to printed document oddesy using Access and ID and stitching it all together with VB6. Right now I'm still designing the database to hold all the info I'll need for the printed catalog AND I'm trying to make the database valuable to the "content managers" so they will use it. (adding products, data, and illustrations so when the catalog needs update I can worry about making the book rather than chasing data). Right now, I'm placing graphic "thumbnails" into the database along with a file name that ID can use later. Access (VB6) will display WMF or BMP on a form in a bound object frame, but not EPS. I want the users of the database to be able to see the thumbnail and be able to copy-and-paste it into word documents and powerpoint presentations. So... I'm wondering now if there's a way to get a cut-and-paste graphic from Illustrator that plays nice with my form and with word/powerpoint later on down the line. Any ideas?
