The Scripting Guide is on the InDesign CD (it's in the Scripting folder inside the Adobe Technical Info folder), or can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/scripting.html <http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/scripting.html>. 

It should be very similar to Illustrator, as Illustrator's scripting object model is based on a subset of InDesign's object model.
