I'm not sure why this doesn't work, but I'm pretty confident there's a good reason. (Select a table with text tool (highlight) then run script. _Table header is a style I've set up in the doc.) 

tell application "InDesign 2.0.1" 

tell active document 

tell selection 

tell table 1 

set applied paragraph style of paragraphs of row 1 to paragraph style "_Table header" 

end tell 

end tell 

end tell 

end tell  

Too many tells? Help would be appreciated!
