One of the issues of working in a script with master frames that have been released to a live page is the possible need to rerun the script. 

You need to do something like: 

try  set myFrame to text frame whose label is "Main box" on error  set myFrame to master page item 1 whose label is "Main box" end try 

I used this recently in a script that made (and then updated) running heads.
