Jay-- No, because we need to check two things: a. is there a break between the first character in the found item and the last character of the found item? b. is there a break between the first character of the found item and the last character of the paragraph containing the found item? (My example had at least one line where the end of the found item corresponded to the end of the line--in this case, leaving the location on the following line by itself. You'd said you wanted to avoid that, so I added the special case check.) Thanks, Ole
