Robert-- I think that the easiest way to accomplish this would be to use the properties property of the relevant cells/rows/columns. That way, you can set many properties at once. It'll be quicker. How do you find out which properties to change? The easy way is to select a cell/row/column that has the formatting attributes you want, and then use "get properties" to get its properties. The properties record will appear in the result window of your script editor. Copy the result into a new script. Delete all of the properties that you don't need, and delete all of the read-only properties (id, parent, etc.), delete all of the returns (you can use find/change in your script editor), and you've got a propreties record you can use to set the properties of other table objects. You say you want to move the selection--unless you want to do something that requires selection (copy/paste/paste into, for example), it's generally better to work on the objects without selecting them. Instead, get object references to them and then work with the object references. Hope this helps! Thanks, Ole
