Thanks Ole, Got rid of all the spaces, but it refuses to place as ID tagged text and displays as ASCII listing. But no matter, I've got the message. Have to admit that I've been there and done that, but what was throwing me all the time was the problem of keeping my original text clean of all the ID code and just have a few paragraph tags. Now I realise that I have to take a few steps backwards and create my own front end that creates the scripting on the fly I have loads of solutions. Now all I need is the time to implement them. Thanks for the encouragement. Mike ps On a general note, Adobe still cannot rest on its laurels: there are still huge gaps in the functionality of ID that need to be filled. Corel users will flock to ID if they are. - M.
