JAR files == Java
Java != JavaScript
It seems your sample -- WITH added quotes! --
File("sample.jar").execute()
merely hands over the file to the OS; i.e.,
File("C:\\Temp\\test.pdf").execute();
opens the PDF file in my current PDF viewer.
So, your jar file is executed by your Java installation, without JavaScript knowing anything about it.
Java has nothing in common with JavaScript. Nothing.
