Help please, complete script novice and not much better in CS4 (PC)!

I'm creating a PDF price list and i want to link each product in the PDF to its relevant web page on our online catalogue.

I can bring in the URL text easily and tag it with any character style i like or add a prefix or suffix as part of the import but cant work out any way to convert all these to an active hyperlink and hide the whole horrible mile long URL.

It looks like this script would have got me nearly there but doesnt run on CS4:
 <http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=1046584#>

My ideal would be to replace any hyperlink text in the document with a small clickable graphic or button (www) or something similar maintaning the link. (its over 2000 products so manual is out of the question!)

Any help would be much appreciated!
