I am trying to retrieve an XML comment from a text frame that is selected by the user. I have been trying to use the following code and have been unsuccessful.

var myStoryID = myTextFrame.associatedXMLElements.xmlAttributes.itemByName("id").value;

I'm sure its just a matter of syntax as it often is with me. Any help would be much appreciated.
