Where can I find examples of how to use and test event listeners? Every time I test one, the program has to be restarted. I need to write a date stamp into a text box (overwriting any previous entries) upon closing any document. This will be in a specific location in every doc. Thanks in advance.

Download this file — <http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/products/indesign/scripting/downloads/indesign_cs3_guide_scripts.zip> Unzip and check out 'events' folder.

Hi Seth, re: "They don't work" Could you be a bit more specific? Also, try the CS4 versions, even if you're using CS3 (you didn't say which version you're using). Thanks, Ole

Sorry about that... we will need to know CS4 for next season, but we are targeting CS3 currently. By the way, to say that they don't work is juvenille. I just don't know how to make them work. clueless would be a better word.

Hi Seth, I should be more clear: the CS4 versions will work with CS3. If you're using AppleScript or VBScript, you'll have to change the target application. To run the examples, just double-click them in the Scripts panel. Thanks, Ole

My script partner was trying to run the examples in the toolkit, not indesign. after putting them in place, they worked. Thanks
