[JS] visible bounds of an object with drop shadow?

A lot of effects, such as outer glow, embossing, and drop shadow, add
graphics to the outside of an object on the page. I know that the
PageItem's geometricBounds contains only the defining geometry of the
object, and visibleBounds contain the stroke width.

Is there any way to get the full size of the object, including drop
shadow, outer glow, etc.?

Since it's no longer possible to call exportFile on a selection, I
need to make certain objects nonprinting in order to generate an EPS
for just some of the items on a page. The EPS invariably has a
bounding box that encompasses the entire page, but I'd like to figure
out the actual bounds of all the visible marks on the page, including
effects.

Thanks,
