I am trying to get stories from InDesign document returns Master page stories also. If I am trying to avoid these contents using InDesign.Page=indDoc.Pages(indPara.parentTextFrames.item(1).insertionPoints.item(1).parent.name) also not allowing me to get master pages. Is there any way to avoid master pages items during story retrival?

You need to look at the grandparent of indPara.parentTextFrames.item(1). If

indPara.parentTextFrames.item(1).Parent.Parent

is a MasterSpread then the frame is on a master page.
