Hi, when a character is not available in a given font a rectangle appears. For example, i paste a cyrillic symbol in an given textframe with copy&paste form an external application and i use a font, which doesn't have included this character. How can i determine this situation with JS, i.e. is there a property available, which gives me the information, that a character is used in a font, which don't have this character available? Thanks! Gerd

Unfortunately, that's possible only with an unelegant hack: enter the character in a document, apply the font, then try to create an outline of the character. If that works, the character is available in the font. Peter
