I got Streamline, now what?

I got streamline. Don't have a clue what to do with it. I was told to use it to prepare graphics, save, then use that graphic in Signlab to print to a Roland printer/vinyl cutter. My dad bought a Roland and wants to retire this year and start a small sign making company. He wants me to help and learn this software. We cannot, I repeat, cannot afford to buy new software we must work with what we have right now. The Signlab is an older version also. What I need to know is are there any tutorials that can help me learn specificly what to do with an image for what I want to use it for. I have no experience with cad or vector or vinyl cutters or anything.
