In Goudy, the en rule is about a tenth longer than the minus sign and it's horizontal, whereas the hyphen is much smmaller and slanted, so I'd go for the en rule and maybe compress it slightly if possible. Or, as I say, you can download Noah from http://mywebpage.netscape.com/yeahnoah/details.html <http://mywebpage.netscape.com/yeahnoah/details.html> and move the minus sign. Moving a glyph is easy - open the pfb file, select the glyph, and copy the info from the box above it to the box above the glyph you want to move it to. Then resave the pfb file (but keep a master copy). I haven't figured out the metrics files yet, though, so I'd move it to a slot where the width is the same (the plus-minus sign at alt0177 say). If you suss out the pfm functions, let me know.

Cheers, Dominic
