How do you know your fonts? 1. The complete list of fonts as hard copy - they are memorised until all 100s/1000s of fonts are known by name and sight. 2. Fonts that are known are used, with occassional new fonts being added and memorised for future use. 3. Research various type books (such as Adobe Type Library) and learn the fonts that are available in the books. Then you check to see if the font (or it's nearest equivalent) is available. I personally keep trying all of the above methods with certain degrees of success. I am aware that there are different type categories, but this often makes it harder to learn the fonts (The fonts I use are kept together in one location, alphabetically.). Is there a "correct" way of knowing your fonts? On a different noteοΏ½ just how fussy are clients? If a font is chosen, but the same font/different manufacturer is used, how critical is this? Have people been caught out (intentionally/unintentionally) by chosing the right/wrong font? Many thanks Wayne Andrews
